Dissertation

My dissertation research focuses on the political implications of administrative burden. I study how interactions with the administrative state affect the political behavior and attitudes of potential recipients of means-tested government programs.

I ask: How do the ways in which a means-tested public policy is administered impact the political participation and attitudes of its potential and actual recipients?
